Maintaining good oral health is essential for overall wellness, yet many Canadians face challenges in accessing affordable dental services. What is the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federally funded initiative designed to offer dental coverage to uninsured Canadians who meet specific income requirements. Its primary aim is to make essential dental care more accessible for individuals who might otherwise be unable to afford it, ultimately improving oral health across the country and reducing the risks associated with untreated dental conditions.

The program is being rolled out in phases, starting with seniors and gradually expanding to include other eligible groups. As the plan progresses, millions of Canadians will gain access to routine dental services, helping to prevent serious health issues linked to poor oral hygiene.
