You may be eligible for the CDCP if you meet all of the following conditions:
No Access to Private Dental Insurance
You must not have dental coverage through an employer, family member, or private plan.
Annual Income Under $90,000
Your adjusted family net income must be below $90,000.
Full coverage is available for those earning under $70,000.
Partial coverage may apply for those between $70,000–$89,999.
Canadian Residency
You must be a Canadian resident for tax purposes.
Recent Tax Filing
You must have filed a tax return in the previous year.

To enroll in the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), you must be a Canadian resident for tax purposes, have filed a tax return in the previous year, have no access to private dental insurance, and an adjusted family net income under $90,000.

Starting in May 2025, the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is expanding access to affordable dental care for more individuals and families across the country. To help more Canadians get the treatment they deserve, applications are being rolled out in stages based on age:

May 15, 2025: Individuals aged 18 to 34
May 29, 2025: Individuals aged 35 to 54
